Paddlesport Safety & Rescue Course
The Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course (PSRC) will support you to explore and practice simple strategies and safe skills that provide you with the tools to solve common paddling issues in a sheltered water environment, providing peace of mind when venturing out onto the water.
It is highly recommended that all paddlers (Canoe, Kayak & SUP) and bank based helpers attend this training course. It is also a pre-requisite for the Paddlesport Instructor to attend, so if you're thinking of entering the coaching scheme then this is a must for you.
The course will be run over 1 day.
Candidates should hold a Paddle Explore Award or be of that ability. The course contains a fair amount of swimming, so candidates should be confident in the water. Must be over 8 years old.
£90 per person inclusive of all your kit and equipment and certification fees
Other Options: Want to get into Leadership? Have you considered the Paddlesport Leader or White Water Leader Award? Want to get into Coaching? Have you considered the Coach Award or Paddlesport Instructor Award?

Over the course of the day we will equip you with the key safety and rescue skills to deal with common emergencies; this training course forms the backbone for all safety and rescue training courses throughout the British Canoeing scheme. By the end of the course you will have the knowledge to ensure the safety of yourself and others, and to equip you with the basic rescue skills to help anyone in difficulty.
