NATIONAL GO PADDLING WEEK
The aim of National Go Paddling Week is to get as many people out on the water as possible - whether it be canoe, kayak or SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board). The target is 10,000 people paddling over the week. This years National Go Paddling Week takes place 25th May - 2nd June.
The week is enjoyable and accessible for all abilities. It could be your first time picking up a paddle or your thousandth time, there is a way for you to join in.
We will be hosting a range of challenges and adventures across the week so check out the details of our events below for more information and to book your place on coach led activities.
If you just want to take part, you can hire equipment or bring your own for a launch fee and complete a challenge paddle, enjoy our views along the way, and add your miles to the total - each paddler will receive a mileage card to log your trips:
Go Canoeing Challenge for Go Paddling Week:
For solo paddlers: As many laps around our 1 mile course as you can manage!
For groups of 2 or more with appropriate rescue skills: As many laps around our 3 mile course as you can manage!
Launch: £6 per craft per day (£4 after 2pm)
Hire: Canoes: £15 per hour; SUPs: £10 per hour; SOT Kayaks: £7 per hour
New for January 2019 this full day course will recognise and develop your ability to independently paddle your chosen craft whether that be Canoe, Kayak or SUP in a sheltered water environment. Working with one of our experienced coaches you will work together over the course of the day to develop both your paddling skills and environmental awareness, enabling you to make more confident choices when out paddling independently in the sheltered water environment.
